Clients are also strongly encouraged to add an additional layer of security by enabling the two-factor authentication (2FA) feature. When enabled, clients will be provided with a time-sensitive, randomly generated one-time password (OTP) for verification before they can securely log in to UTRADE.
To do so, simply enable UTRADE Secure on your UTRADE Mobile app.
How to activate UTRADE Secure:
Clients are strongly encouraged to set a strong complex password to minimise cyberattacks.
A strong complex password consists of:
- 12 or more characters.
- Combination of lower case, upper case, numbers and symbols (Best to have all 4 combination)
- No running order or repeating numbers in password
-
Avoid the use of dictionary words
-
Avoid any personal information within the password
Phishing attacks are one of the commonly used cyberattacks today. To reduce the chances of a phishing attack, clients should adopt the following best practices:
- Avoid clicking on suspicious links
- Always verify if the sender is legitimate if uncertain
- Avoid downloading suspicious attachments
- Avoid sending sensitive/personal information, only through official channels
- Spot red flags in the message i.e Urgent requests for action, generic greetings vs personalized.
By taking these simple steps, you'll significantly enhance your account’s protection.
